Position: Survey Party Chief

The Survey Party Chief will be responsible for leading and overseeing surveying projects within the engineering and land surveying field. They will work closely with the project team and clients to ensure accurate and efficient completion of surveys.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct surveying tasks, such as boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking
  • Perform calculations and analysis of survey data
  • Lead a team of surveyors and technicians to complete projects
  • Coordinate and communicate with project managers, engineers, and clients
  • Maintain and operate survey equipment, including Trimble GPS and total stations
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Prepare and review survey reports and drawings
  • Train and mentor junior survey staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in surveying, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in land surveying, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) certification preferred
  • Experience with subdivision and construction surveying
  • Proficiency with survey software and equipment, including Trimble
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
