About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at MultiCare Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing clinical counseling and case management services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Person-Centered Counseling: Offer empathetic and non-judgmental support to patients, helping them navigate complex emotional and psychological challenges.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with patients to create personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs and goals.
  • Meet Agency Documentation Standards: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Meet Authorization Requirements: Ensure compliance with contract requirements and authorization procedures for patient services.
  • Provide Strategic Clinical/Case Management Services: Tailor services to meet the diverse needs of patients, including those with complex mental health conditions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Health: A degree in a behavioral health-related field is required; alternatively, four years of directly applicable experience in mental health counseling may be accepted in lieu of the degree.
  • Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor: Must be eligible and apply for a Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor within 30 days and obtain within 90 days of placement in the job, unless a higher credential is held.
  • Current Washington State Driver's License: Must have a current Washington state driver's license or obtain one within 30 days of relocating to Washington.
  • Previous Experience in Mental Health Counseling: Previous experience providing mental health counseling services is preferred.
  • Safe Driving Record: Depending on the assigned area, proof of a safe driving record may be required.
  • BLS Certification: Depending on the assigned area, BLS certification may be required.
