Shriners Children's stands as the leading medical center for pediatric burn, orthopedic, spinal cord injury, cleft lip and palate, and various pediatric subspecialties.

We are currently seeking a PRN Clinical Laboratory Specialist to become a part of our team.

Job Overview:
The Clinical Laboratory Specialist is responsible for analyzing and reporting laboratory values as an integral part of the interdisciplinary care team for our patients. The diagnostic procedures conducted may encompass chemistry, microbiology, hemostasis, hematology, blood banking, urinalysis, and phlebotomy.

Responsibilities:
Oversees technical operations within the laboratory. Reviews and interprets patient results.

Conducts analysis and reports on all laboratory tests requested for patients.

Implements quality control measures, operates laboratory instruments, and provides training to staff.

This position is PRN, with hours varying based on operational needs, including weekdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and weekends from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Compensation for this role is set at $35 per hour.

Qualifications:
Required Education

Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.

Required Experience

Minimum of 1 year in a Clinical Laboratory setting is required; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Required Certifications/Licensures

Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP), Clinical Laboratory Scientist, or equivalent is mandatory.

A valid Medical Technologist license in the state of practice is also required.
