Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the designated travel itinerary for recruitment events.
  • Offer comprehensive information and support to prospective students and their families regarding the admissions process, academic offerings, financial assistance, and campus experiences.
  • Deliver personalized presentations to prospective students, their families, and educational counselors.
  • Skillfully convey the institution's mission while engaging with numerous high schools, community organizations, and college fairs across the region.
  • Actively represent the institution at various special events.
  • Complete administrative tasks as directed by the Associate Director of Admissions and the Executive Director of Admissions & Enrollment Services.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in recordkeeping.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with individuals from various backgrounds.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for fostering positive relationships within the college community and with the public.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated public speaking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Office, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems is preferred.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as necessary.

Work Environment: This role typically occurs outside of a traditional office setting, requiring significant interaction with prospective students, their families, and educational counselors. The position also involves delivering public presentations off-campus. The Admissions Recruiter must be able to travel to various recruitment locations.

Physical Demands:
  • Light physical activity, including sitting, standing, or walking as needed. Occasional handling of materials or supplies may be required.
  • The individual may need to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Extended periods of standing may be necessary during recruitment events.
  • Ability to access office files and deliver public presentations.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity are essential for operating a computer and handling documents.
  • Near vision acuity is required to read information on a computer screen, in handwritten form, and printed materials.
  • Effective hearing and verbal communication skills are necessary for interactions in person and via telephone.

Education and Experience:
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Previous experience in admissions is preferred.
