Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Speech-Language Therapist to join our dynamic team at Norman Regional Health System.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have experience in assessing patients and developing care plans that incorporate standardized speech therapy techniques. The role involves educating patients and their families, documenting therapy progress, and participating in community education efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and establish a plan of care.
  • Develop and implement therapy programs utilizing standard speech therapy techniques as appropriate for the age and disability of the patient.
  • Document delivery of Speech Therapy services.
  • Educate patients, family, caregivers, and significant others on effective communication strategies.
  • Promote physical rehabilitation services through community-based education activities, marketing opportunities, and support groups.
  • Act as a Clinical Instructor to supervise/educate students from accredited speech therapy programs.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Previous experience in hospital settings, with dysphagia experience preferred.
  • Current Oklahoma license for Speech-Language Pathology or SLP license eligible with a temporary license.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or complete within the first year under a licensed therapist as a CFY.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience.
