Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily activities of a logistics operation to maximize scheduling and delivery of commodities to customers.
- Collaborate with customers to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximize schedule adherence.
- Develop contingency plans as needed and direct activities during system problems or disasters.
- Review ongoing performance results to targets and take corrective measures as necessary.
- Provide effective leadership to the Warehouse Managers and/or team, enforcing company standards and acting as a role model.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Progressive experience in professional-level operational and plant management duties, preferably in the automotive or logistics industry.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents and respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to write documents using original or innovative techniques or style and make effective presentations to top management and customers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficient personal computer skills, including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
