Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reports within specified timelines.
- Prepare comprehensive work paper files, ensuring accuracy in capital activity, income and expense accruals, and investment activities.
- Update and maintain distribution waterfall models.
- Calculate management fees and prepare supporting schedules.
- Review transaction documentation and supporting files, gaining a thorough understanding of investment transactions and accruals.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and process journal entries.
- Support the year-end audit process in collaboration with clients and auditors.
- Engage with clients and counter-parties, including legal counsels and tax advisors, to meet critical deadlines.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA and/or MBA is advantageous.
- A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably with a focus on alternative investment funds, particularly in Private Equity or Real Assets.
- Strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and comprehensive accounting concepts; familiarity with investment partnerships is a plus.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing general ledgers, work papers, and financial statements.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks independently.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
