Public Health Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Georgia Department of Public Health, District 2. As a key member of our public health team, you will play a vital role in protecting the health and well-being of Georgian residents.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care in accordance with nurse protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Focus on the prevention of illness, injury, or disability, and the promotion of health and maintenance of the health of populations.
- Care for populations with special needs during disasters, emergencies, and biological and chemical protocols.
- Conduct audits for schools and daycares, and conduct hearing, vision, and dental screenings for school attendance.
- Cross-train to TB, Child Health, Family Planning, and IDC clinics.
- Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university, and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
- Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license, and CPR certification.
- Ability to work efficiently under established clinic protocols, and complete tasks without detailed supervision.
- Excellent computer skills, and ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.
