Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Danbury, CT. As a technical lead for manufacturing engineering, you will play a critical role in supporting the production of naval electronics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and streamline production operations in the manufacturing execution system
  • Identify and support required tooling to achieve production goals
  • Pull and analyze production data to solve problems and aid in evidence-based decision making
  • Optimize floor layout based on business forecasts
  • Partner with the engineering department to achieve design for manufacturing ability targets
  • Mentor junior engineers to learn on-the-job skills
  • Lead lean or Kaizen events and implement at the site-level on an ongoing basis
  • Provide general guidance on new assignments and support the mission, values, and culture of the organization
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering field with 5+ years of applicable engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)
  • Specialties may include manufacturing, production, industrial, tooling, testing, processing, software, robotics, and automation
  • Lean implementation experience in a manufacturing environment and a green or black belt in Six Sigma, preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP Systems (Deltek/Costpoint 8), MES (Solumina), PLM (Empower and Arena), and 3-D Modeling (Creo), preferred
