Position Overview:

We are looking for a Care/Medication Technician to deliver direct care and emotional support to our residents while ensuring a safe and welcoming living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Caregiver Duties:

  • Take responsibility for assigned residents during your shift, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Monitor, report, and document any changes in resident conditions.
  • Respond swiftly to security alerts and resident calls.
  • Inform supervisors of any increased care requirements for residents.
  • Assist with continence management while upholding cleanliness standards.
  • Support residents in daily activities, promoting their independence and dignity.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities that enhance their quality of life.
  • Help maintain cleanliness in residents' rooms and shared spaces.

Medication Technician Responsibilities:

  • Review individual service plans to gather necessary information.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
  • Keep accurate records of medication administration.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of resident information, particularly regarding medications.
  • Restock medication supplies and maintain cleanliness in medication storage areas.
  • Participate in health monitoring and reporting duties.
  • Assist with medication refills and the development of service plans.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Medication Aide certification is required
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • CPR Certification is preferred
  • First Aid Certification is preferred
  • Prior experience working with seniors is preferred
