Healthcare Quality Improvement Specialist

OVP Health 2 is seeking a skilled Healthcare Quality Improvement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating with hospital departments to identify trends, prioritize, and recommend improvements. You will also investigate incident reports, patient complaints, and patient care issues as requested by the Chief Medical Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain oversight and ensure compliance with performance objectives set by OVP Health 2.
- Ensure chart completion and timely filing of medical charts.
- Coordinate and assist medical directors in daily functions, including administrative duties.
- Cultivate and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Work as a liaison with all hospital departments on issues related to OVP Health 2 providers.
- Work as a liaison with all hospital departments related to new hire orientation for all OVP Health 2 providers.
- Coordinate with the hospital QI program to meet the needs of patients, staff, and external agencies.
- Provide QI leadership and consultative services to hospital administration and OVP Health 2 providers in achieving regulatory accreditation and organizational compliance.
- Organize, compile, and report QI data to identify trends, establish priorities, and recommend improvement activities.
- Perform comprehensive, concurrent, and retrospective reviews in a timely manner, using criteria developed and approved by OVP Health 2.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field preferred.
- Two years of healthcare experience in a clinical or non-clinical setting.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to access the internet at home.
Preferred Qualifications:
- RN degree with healthcare administration background and/or Bachelor's in Healthcare Administration.
- At least two years of healthcare experience with one year in a medical/surgical setting.
Travel: This position requires 30% travel by auto.

- Ability to lift minimum 25 pounds.
- Ability to perform job responsibilities in a facility with multiple levels and without elevator or mechanical transportation.
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Operates a computer and keyboard.
