Job Requirements and Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in sheet metal fabrication and a solid understanding of structural steel assembly principles. They should be able to read specifications, blueprints, and job orders with ease and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, a year of sheet metal fabrication experience is highly desirable.

To excel in this role, one should be skilled in operating fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, and presses, as well as proficient in trimming, filing, grinding, buffing, and smoothing surfaces using hand tools and portable power tools. They should also have the ability to weld, solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk, and bond component parts to assemble products.

We offer a competitive salary range of $58,000 to $67,000 per year and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan. Paid leave may include Paid Sick Leave, as required by law, and Holiday pay upon meeting eligibility criteria.

Job Duties:

  • Select gauge and type of sheet metal according to drawings provided
  • Cut, bend, grind, trim, notch, punch, de-burr, clean, and weld sheet steel and structural steel using appropriate machines and hand tools
  • Plan, lay-out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts and products
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, brakes, and presses
  • Trim, file, grind, buff, and smooth surfaces using hand tools and portable power tools
  • Weld, solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk, and bond component parts to assemble products
