Job Overview

P3 Technologies LLC is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing custom turbomachinery components, solenoid pumps, tooling, and test fixtures.

You will use Computer Aided Design (CAD) software to create models and assemblies, and apply standard engineering principles to complete analytical efforts. Your expertise in ANSYS and SolidWorks will be essential in meeting technical and manufacturability requirements within budgetary and schedule constraints.

In this role, you will also work closely with the manufacturing team to design cost-effective parts, create manufacturing drawing packages, and assemble prototype hardware and test rigs/fixtures. Additionally, you will support project engineering activities, perform engineering analysis, and resolve technical challenges through creative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the 3D modeling phase of projects and support the 3D modeling phase of clean sheet designs.
  • Create part models and assembly models for engineering analysis and drawing creation.
  • Develop dimensioning and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) expertise.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to design cost-effective parts.
  • Assemble prototype hardware and test rigs/fixtures.
  • Support project engineering activities, including requirement specification creation and component selection.
  • Perform engineering analysis, including thermal and structural analysis.
  • Resolve technical challenges through creative problem-solving.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of ANSYS mechanical analysis experience.
  • 3+ years of design experience using SolidWorks modeling package.
Skills
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, project management, enterprise resource planning, database, and specialized engineering application software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.

The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $85,000. This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate.
