REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care within their designated unit. The RN is expected to uphold the hospital's mission and values while ensuring that nursing standards are met to address the healthcare needs of patients and their families.

In collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse coordinates the care plan for assigned patients. The RN will actively engage in performance improvement initiatives and adhere to regulatory standards, hospital policies, and procedures. Responsibilities include managing resources effectively, fostering teamwork among healthcare providers, and ensuring patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Documentation - Conducts thorough assessments and documents care according to established nursing processes, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols. Plans and coordinates nursing care tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Advocacy for Patient Rights - Upholds and protects the rights of patients, treating each individual with respect and maintaining confidentiality. Commitment to Patient Safety - Actively participates in initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety, including fall prevention, medication management, and adherence to National Patient Safety Goals. Patient and Family Education - Provides relevant education to patients and their families in accordance with departmental and hospital guidelines.

Qualifications

Required and Preferred Education:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program is required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Licensure and Certification:

Valid RN License in the state is required.

Experience:

Experience in Med/Surg settings is preferred but not mandatory. Minimum one year of experience is preferred in specialized areas such as CCU, ER, Float Pool, Maternity/Nursery, OR, or Wound Care.
