Regional Optometric Assistant
Job Description:Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Optometrist in providing comprehensive visual examinations by performing preliminary testing, supporting duties, and post-exam follow-up.
Specific Duties:
- Take patients back for examinations
- Administer a series of tests, record results, and prepare patients for the physician
- Document patient medications and prepare the phoroptor
- Escort patients out of exam rooms and set up recalls
- Transfer authority to eyewear consultants
Testing and Equipment:
Perform visual preliminary testing, visual screening, blood pressure, tonometer, auto refraction, and auto testing.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 6:45pm, and Saturday, 8am to 5:30pm.
Work Environment:
Work in a clean, state-of-the-art facility with a professional working environment.
