Job Summary

The Emergency Vehicle Operator is a critical member of the Central EMS team, responsible for providing life-saving emergency medical services to our community. As an Emergency Vehicle Operator, you will be the first point of contact for patients in emergency situations, providing critical care and transportation to those in need.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate an ambulance safely and efficiently, navigating through heavy traffic and emergency situations

• Provide emergency medical care to patients, including administering medications and performing life-saving interventions

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and medical interventions

• Collaborate with other emergency medical services personnel to ensure timely and effective patient care

Requirements

• Valid Arkansas driver's license with a clean driving record

• Current Arkansas EVO certificate

• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification

• Two years of driving experience

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations

• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment as needed

Working Conditions

This position requires frequent lifting of 110+ pounds, pushing, pulling, and carrying medical equipment, as well as working in a fast-paced emergency environment. The successful candidate must be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-stress situations.
