We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist to enhance the representation of our Human Resource Department through effective practices across all HR functions within our facility. Key responsibilities include managing benefits, recruitment, policy interpretation, and collaboration with facility managers. This role also involves participating in special projects and assisting the Human Resource Manager as needed. Ideal candidates will possess 3-5+ years of HR experience and bring innovative ideas to enhance our processes and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety, and quality standards.
- Introduce innovative ideas to improve HR processes and enhance employee satisfaction.
- Manage employee leaves of absence, including workers' compensation and FMLA.
- Conduct new-hire orientations to educate employees about benefits and enrollment.
- Assist during the annual benefits open enrollment period, ensuring effective communication of changes.
- Enhance employee understanding of benefit programs through improved materials and communication.
- Oversee recruitment activities, including interviewing and evaluating candidates.
- Support the implementation of new policies and programs.
- Assist in managing compensation and performance evaluation processes.
- Address employee inquiries regarding company policies and conduct exit interviews.
- Participate in departmental meetings and maintain organizational charts.
- Evaluate departmental performance against established goals and recommend improvements.
- Maintain HRIS records and generate reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with employment regulations.
- Perform additional HR duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- All applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.
- Onsite work is required; this is not a remote position.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field; PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, and related regulations is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software is required.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are critical.
- Understanding of insurance regulations and plan designs is necessary.
