Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Contracts to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. This role will be responsible for managing a team of contracts professionals engaged in the pursuit and execution of critical missile defense sensing products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the front-end assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract management, and significant customer activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
  • Develop customer engagement strategies necessary for successful contract execution and resolution.
  • Negotiate directly with DoD and industry customers and develop trusting relationships internally and externally.
  • Coach, manage, and strategically lead an organization of approximately 8 contracting professionals to continuously improve the overall quality, capability, and bench strength of the contract's organization.
  • Handle all contracts duties resulting in achieving program and business area objectives.
  • Lead coordination of any payment issues to ensure compliant and timely payment in support of AOP.
  • Deploy strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve Program objectives.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a University degree and 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 10 years' experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience managing contracts and/or subcontracts and reporting on contract performance to Contracts and Program leadership.
  • Experience in Government contract administration under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Experience supervising dispersed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working with Missile Defense Agency or supplying a major prime (Lockheed Martin, Boeing, etc.).
  • Experienced supervisor of organizations and influential people leader.
  • MBA or JD.
  • Contract management certification (e.g. NCMA or WorldCC).
  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance.
