Job Title: Payroll Analyst

At StarPlus Energy, we are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Analyst to join our accounting team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the operational and administrative functions essential to the success of the payroll process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll with various types, including salary and non-salary, bonus, retroactivities, overtime, and others as required.
  • Ensure payroll process is in accordance with company policies and laws.
  • Supervise benefits packages for unionized and employed personnel, ensuring compliance with established conditions.
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources department to implement modifications to benefits or salary.
  • Manage hourly time-keeping systems and employee payroll information.
  • Assist in payroll tax filing and month-end close.
  • Generate payroll reports for review and approval.
  • Resolve and neutralize contingencies that endanger timely payroll operation.
  • Maintain internal controls over the payroll process.
  • Record retention related to payroll and employee information.
  • Conduct random regular audits on payroll information.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and team-building skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, or other database applications.
  • Knowledge of SAP is beneficial.
  • Conflict management skills.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual English/Korean.
  • Master of Business Administration.
  • Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
  • Ability and desire to identify opportunities for process improvements and enact change.
