Job Summary:

The primary role of a receptionist at Community Veterinary Partners is to provide exceptional client service, creating a warm and welcoming impression. This involves answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, and processing payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones promptly and professionally using a multi-line phone system
  • Take and deliver messages to staff, pulling medical records as needed
  • Note medical records with details discussed during client conversations
  • Check medical and computer records for accurate client information
  • Weigh pets and record weights in medical records
  • Fill prescriptions and provide administration instructions
  • Prepare consent forms and discuss financial policies with clients
  • Advise clients on pet care and retail items
  • Maintain a clean reception area and front desk
  • Collect payment and process credit cards
  • Retrieve, update, and file patient medical records
  • Clean up after pets' accidents
  • Water and maintain plants in waiting exam rooms

Requirements:

  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years old
  • Effective communication with clients
  • Experience in caring for animals and proper restraint techniques
  • Ability to work with computer-based veterinary software
  • Endurance in standing and walking on hard floor surfaces
