As a Property Accountant specializing in Retail, you will play a crucial role in Client Accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive accounting support to the property management team, serving as an integral member of this unit.
Core Duties:
- Generate and disseminate monthly financial reports, including journal entries, financial statement preparation, and bank reconciliations.
- Manage the Accounts Receivable process by overseeing cash receipts, reviewing and billing tenant recurring charges, and performing tenant ledger reconciliations.
- Coordinate the Accounts Payable process, ensuring accurate invoice coding, approvals, and maintaining a proper audit trail.
- Track sales information, ensuring timely collection and review of sales reports.
- Examine leases and leasing activities to guarantee precise billing.
- Supervise cash management procedures, including auditing petty cash and overseeing service center cash and gift certificate processes.
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget by compiling key assumptions and capital budget data, maintaining lease-level budgeting for all tenants, and processing estimates for miscellaneous income and specialty leasing.
- Prepare quarterly reports, including forecasts, and support the corporate office in gathering information for quarterly financial reports.
- Oversee the annual year-end reconciliation process for CAM, percentage rent, insurance utilities, sewer/trash, and real estate taxes.
- Facilitate payroll reporting processes and assist in all property audits.

Qualifications:
B.S./B.A. in Accounting
3-5 Years of Experience in Real Estate Accounting Preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with real estate accounting software preferred.
