JOB TITLE: Educator

REPORTS TO: Principal

JOB DESCRIPTION:

To deliver educational instruction tailored to the comprehension levels and requirements of students.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Facilitates, directs, and assesses learning experiences for each student under their educational purview.
  2. Maintains effective communication channels among students, faculty, guardians, and the community.
  3. Establishes and nurtures professional relationships.
  4. Takes on responsibilities for extracurricular activities and additional duties as mandated by policy.
  5. Timely reports information regarding student progress and adjustments to guardians.
  6. Responsible for accurate pupil attendance records as required by law and school administration.
  7. Ensures proper care and maintenance of school property.
  8. Engages in the planning and assessment of the educational program.
  9. Participates in self-assessment and professional development initiatives.
  10. Familiar with and adheres to existing District policies and procedures related to employment obligations.
  11. Recognizes students as individuals with full civil and human rights.
  12. Knowledgeable of and complies with the District Curriculum Scope and Sequence.
  13. Maintains and utilizes appropriate records to support the educational growth of students.
  14. Avoids participation in activities that could detrimentally impact classroom performance and other responsibilities.
  15. Assists in the oversight and evaluation of assigned educational aides, as applicable.
  16. Refers students to appropriate personnel to address their needs.
  17. Performs additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
