Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the Safford Unified School District. As a Kindergarten Instructor, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing and supportive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Instructional Leadership: Provide high-quality instruction and guidance to students, tailoring your approach to meet the diverse needs and abilities of each child.
  2. Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, staff, and the community, fostering a culture of mutual respect and open communication.
  3. Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education, participating in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  4. Assessment and Evaluation: Regularly assess student progress, using data to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions to support student growth and achievement.
  5. Classroom Management: Create a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment, promoting social, emotional, and academic growth in all students.
  6. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, providing timely and informative reports to parents and administrators.
  7. Collaboration with Colleagues: Work closely with other educators and support staff to develop and implement curriculum, assess student progress, and address student needs.
  8. Professionalism and Integrity: Demonstrate a commitment to the values and mission of the Safford Unified School District, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all aspects of your work.
Requirements
  • A valid Arizona Elementary K-8 Teaching Certificate
  • Highly Qualified status in Elementary K-6
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A strong commitment to early childhood education and student success
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
