The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in plastics processing and material science to develop and improve existing processes, as well as design and implement new ones.

The successful candidate will have completed at least 4 semesters in Plastics, Materials, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or Chemistry discipline, or 1 full year of tech school in instrumentation or other related courses.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new plastic products and processes
  • Optimize existing processes to improve efficiency and quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to optimize material properties

Requirements:

  • Must have completed a minimum of 4 semesters in the mentioned disciplines or 1 full year of tech school
  • Must have a GPA of 2.8 or higher
  • Strong background in plastics processing and material science
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to various stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, twist, and carry tools or materials over the course of 8 – 10-hour shift
  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position
