Job Summary

The Licensed Optician at LensCrafters is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing high-quality eyewear solutions. This role requires strong optical dispensing experience, excellent communication skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and serve customers with a smile, setting clear expectations and ensuring a personalized experience.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, demonstrating expertise in optical acumen.
  • Act as a leader in the optical department, assisting team members with complex product needs and prescriptions.
  • Accurately take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, and ensure finished products meet standards and customer needs.
  • Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, striving to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
  • Take pride in store appearance, help maintain a clean, attractive, and organized environment, and inform management of safety opportunities.

Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State licensure.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
  • Embracing new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous customer service and retail experience.
