Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Optical Expert to join our team at LensCrafters in Lynnwood, CA. As an Optical Expert, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on eyewear and optical products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and engage with customers, setting clear expectations and providing personalized service.
  • Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, ensuring accurate and precise results.
  • Act as a leader in optical acumen, providing expert advice and guidance to customers and colleagues alike.
  • Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished products meet standards and customer needs.
  • Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing support and guidance as needed.
  • Accurately and thoroughly use technology, despite time pressure and customer volume, to provide exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools.
  • Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, driving solutions and results.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, striving to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
  • Take pride in store appearance, helping to keep the store clean, attractive, and organized, and inform management of safety opportunities, demonstrating safe work practices.
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, with a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results, adhering to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • State licensure.
  • Optical dispensing experience.
  • Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder.
  • Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Awareness of current fashion trends.
  • Selling skills - ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
  • Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
  • Embrace new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous customer service and retail experience.

Pay Range: $24.40-$40.20. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
