Bioinformatician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatician to join our team at Boston University Medical Campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out bioinformatics analysis routines and writing and running code for bioinformatics projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct bioinformatics analysis and develop algorithms to analyze large datasets
  • Write and run code for bioinformatics projects, including data processing and visualization
  • Contribute to papers, proposals, posters, and technical reports
  • Attend meetings and collaborate with colleagues
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with 1-3 years of experience
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java
  • Experience with bioinformatics tools and databases
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
