Position: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL and surrounding areas

Soliant Education is a prominent provider of educational staffing solutions, currently in search of a committed and enthusiastic School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to become part of our team for the upcoming school year. This role presents a unique opportunity to positively influence the communication abilities of diverse student populations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough assessments and evaluations to identify students experiencing speech and language challenges.
  • Design and execute tailored education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic interventions to meet the specific communication needs of students.
  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to students, either individually or in group settings.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to enhance students' communication skills in both academic and home environments.
  • Track and evaluate students' progress, adjusting therapy objectives as needed, while maintaining precise records of therapy sessions.
  • Provide support and training to educators and staff on effective speech and language strategies and necessary accommodations.
  • Engage actively in team meetings, multidisciplinary evaluations, and IEP discussions as required.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Valid Florida State License in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
  • Experience in a school setting as a Speech-Language Pathologist is preferred; however, recent graduates with relevant clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapy methods and various communication disorders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a collaborative team.
