We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Expert in Wound and Ostomy Care. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provides clinical expertise in wound and ostomy care for patients, considering age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Promotes the use of current knowledge, techniques, and research into the practice setting.
- Serves as a facilitator and teacher to staff to enhance their knowledge and skills in caring for patients with wound and/or ostomy needs.
- Continuously reviews the scientific evidence to support clinical practice and institutes practice changes when needed.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills, including Excel.
- Ability to work independently and is self-directed.
- Must meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors as outlined in the HFHS' Customer Service Policy.
- Must possess the following personal qualities: Be flexible and committed to the team concept, Demonstrate teamwork, initiative, and willingness to learn, Be open to new learning experiences, Accepts and respects diversity without judgment, Demonstrates customer service values.
- Current Michigan License as a Registered Nurse.
- Completion of Enterostomal Therapy program certification within specialty within 6 months of hire.
- BCLS (CPR) within 6 months of hire.
- Masters Degree in Nursing preferred.
