Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Position Overview:
This pivotal position plays a crucial role in ensuring the precision, reliability, and promptness of financial reporting and accounting functions for the District. Key responsibilities encompass supervising financial activities, generating financial statements and reports, managing audit processes, aiding in budget formulation, and guaranteeing that cash flow and funding obligations are fulfilled. Furthermore, assistance is provided to the Finance Department in various accounting tasks and system management.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, reconcile, and review bank and ledger statements, financial reports, and journal entries
  • Develop and assess financial statements, project accounting, and investment evaluations
  • Support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Coordinate internal and external audits to ensure adherence to financial regulations
  • Engage in budget formulation and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Identify opportunities for enhancement and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Maintain a secure work environment and surpass customer expectations
  • Execute additional duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • 4-6 years of accounting experience, ideally in governmental accounting
  • Certification as a CPA or CPFO is advantageous
  • Familiarity with auditing standards and financial systems
  • Exceptional organizational and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
Work Schedule: Full Time

Compensation: $79,977.60 annually
