Pay Range: $51.24 per hour
The Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health is responsible for executing vascular interventional radiographic procedures for cardiovascular assessments in specialized domains.
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week, benefitted day shift role that includes call coverage.
The compensation for call duty is $10.50/hr.
During on-call periods, team members manage IR, Vascular, and Neuro cases.
As a level one trauma facility, we also handle trauma incidents and stroke interventions.
Coverage is rotated through weeknights, with weekend responsibilities from Friday evening through Monday morning assigned to one team.

When fully staffed, coverage is required every 6th weekend and every third week, involving one night of primary call and one night of backup call.

For our full-time roles (30 hours or more), we are offering a $7500 sign-on/retention bonus.* This bonus is applicable to external hires only, with certain conditions in place.

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health provides benefits for employees working 20 or more hours.

Responsibilities:
Conducts radiographic procedures for cardiovascular assessments. Prepares patients for procedures and provides explanations.
May administer prescribed medications under the direct supervision of the Radiologist conducting diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
Performs venous punctures and maintains central venous lines during examinations. Must be prepared to administer CPR.
Operates radiographic machinery to generate angiographic, digital, and other specialized images.
Conducts follow-up monitoring until patients depart the department. Executes digital and manual subtraction on images.
Handles hemodynamic monitoring responsibilities. Sets up and maintains transducers, physiological data recorders, ECG monitors, oxymetry, digital cardiac outputs, and peripheral vascular recorders.
Orders, maintains, and comprehends the use and function of all ancillary equipment utilized in both diagnostic and therapeutic examinations.
Conducts quality control checks on equipment, ensuring adherence to proper procedures.
Coordinates daily work schedules with Radiologists and responds to emergencies as they arise.
Educates staff on the use of cardiovascular equipment and procedures.
Trains with the IV team prior to performing venous punctures.
Performs additional duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications:
Graduate of an A.M.A. accredited school of Radiologic Technology, with a minimum of one year of experience required.

Required Licensure/Certifications:
Registered with the A.R.R.T. Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
