Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team at the City of Oxnard. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining public safety and order, enforcing laws and regulations, and providing excellent customer service to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce laws and regulations.
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance to the public.
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence to support prosecutions.
  • Testify in court and provide expert testimony as required.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share intelligence and best practices.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possession of a valid California driver's license.
  • Basic Certificate issued by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST).
  • Bilingual Spanish/English speaking skills highly desired.
