Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intermediate Care Department. As a Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care for patients assigned to the Intermediate Care Department.
  • Participate in strategic planning, service delivery, program development, evaluation, and implementation, budget and resource management, cost control, contract compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities.
  • Work as a registered professional in the capacity of Charge RN, providing care for patients for an assigned time.
  • Maintain current competency with nursing skills required and demonstrate knowledge regarding Standards of Care and Standards of Practice in the assigned area.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret the data appropriately to identify patient requirements specific to the patient's age.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Current licensure in Nevada as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum one year recent progressive care nursing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in progressive care nursing procedures and skills, including cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation, and mechanical ventilation preferred.
