We are seeking a knowledgeable individual to lead our Service Department. The ideal candidate will effectively manage vehicle workflow, support technicians, and promote automotive products and services. A strong understanding of automotive systems and excellent communication skills are essential for engaging with our customers.
- Supervise and evaluate courtesy inspections and services conducted by technicians.
- Provide training to team members and address areas for improvement identified during evaluations.
- Obtain customer consent for necessary repairs based on diagnostics while ensuring a tidy work environment.
- Conduct thorough inspections on all serviced vehicles and carry out required repairs and maintenance.
- Safely operate guest vehicles for test drives and utilize company vehicles for inventory pickups as needed.
The hourly wage for this position is $20.00, with opportunities for additional compensation and incentives based on experience.
QualificationsEssential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as an automotive technician or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- ASE certification is advantageous.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Physical ability to work overhead, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to teamwork.
- Possession of an Automotive Technician State Inspector's license, where applicable.
