This leadership role provides strategic guidance and support to the senior executive position (Chief Nursing Officer) responsible for all nursing and patient care functions within the hospital organization. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a unit level, ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate care. The role requires 24/7 responsibility for managing assigned areas and is accountable for supporting the Chief Nursing Officer in ensuring the competency of clinical staff and effective resource management related to patient care.
Key Responsibilities
-Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice
-Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills
-Proven leadership ability and hospital operational expertise
-Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing
Requirements
-Academic degree in nursing (Required)
-Bachelors or Masters degree (Preferred)
-2 Years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position (Required)
-Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice profession as required by law, regulation, or policy (Required)
