Director of Cellular Therapies, Assistant/Associate Professor, Hoxworth Blood Center

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Director of Cell Therapies, Assistant/Associate Professor, Hoxworth Blood Center. As a member of the Hoxworth Blood Center team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of cellular therapy programs, collaborating with researchers and clinicians to advance the field of cell therapy, and teaching and mentoring students and trainees.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement cellular therapy programs, including the recruitment and management of staff, the development of protocols and procedures, and the coordination of clinical trials.
- Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to advance the field of cell therapy, including the development of new therapies and the translation of basic research into clinical applications.
- Teach and mentor students and trainees, including medical students, residents, and fellows, in the principles and practices of cell therapy.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to cell therapy, including the development of guidelines for the use of cellular therapies in clinical settings.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of quality improvement projects and the analysis of data to inform quality improvement efforts.
- MD or DO degree and licensure in the State of Ohio.
- At least two years of experience in the preparation and clinical use of cellular therapy products.
- Experience in the development and implementation of cellular therapy programs, including the recruitment and management of staff, the development of protocols and procedures, and the coordination of clinical trials.
- Experience in teaching and mentoring students and trainees, including medical students, residents, and fellows, in the principles and practices of cell therapy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders.
