We are seeking a talented Pediatric Staff Nurse to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in pediatric nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We offer a competitive salary range of $68,000 - $92,000 annually, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to infants and toddlers in the Special Care Nursery.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, prioritizing the physical, emotional, and educational needs of our patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Mentor and precept new staff members, promoting clinical excellence and teamwork.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, focusing on patient safety, satisfaction, and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
  • Experience working an electronic medical record system (i.e. EPIC) or similar software is preferred.
