Practice Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Manager to join our team at SPCP/Southeast Medical Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of our small to medium clinic practice(s), ensuring efficient and effective clinic operation.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the planning, organization, and direction of clinic operations, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
- Provide supervision, development, and mentoring of clinic supervisory staff, evaluating their performance and recommending merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Monitor compliance of all clinic metrics, including customer service, membership, retention, and assist in the preparation and implementation of clinic budgets.
- Ensure the region is well-promoted and properly represented through marketing and community relations, and provide continual process improvement, including all clinic processes and/or services.
- Supervise assigned personnel to ensure quality patient care, including forms and procedures as required, and monitor clinic workflow and schedule to ensure productivity standards are met.
- Administer clinic policies and procedures in a consistent and timely manner, and evaluate performance and recommend merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure that office space, supplies, and assistance are provided and maintained appropriately for medical staff and patient care, and work with senior management to ensure operations and relations are effective.
- Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested, and ensure that personnel forms and/or records are kept updated and submitted to other departments in a timely manner.
- Collect clinic performance and quality metrics and produce reports for management, and order office and medical supplies, ensuring sufficient quantities are maintained at all times.
- Assist in budget preparation and adherence, and perform all other related duties as assigned.
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated management experience in a healthcare setting.
- Familiar with fiscal and human resource management practices, and knowledge of health care administration principles, including managed care, insurance claims processes, medical terminology, etc.
- Skill in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting information, and proficiency with computer systems, programs, and applications.
- Ability to apply principles to solve everyday problems in a variety of situations, and knowledge of fiscal management and human resource management techniques.
- Knowledge of office management techniques and practices, and skill in written and verbal communication, and ability to exercise initiative, problem-solving, decision-making, and establish priorities and coordinate work activities.
- Good communication and customer service skills, and ability to travel to multiple locations to support business needs as required.
- Five or more years of clinical supervisory experience, and bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and ability to push or pull heavy objects using up to 50 pounds of force.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time, and ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use fine motor skills to operate office equipment and/or machinery, and ability to receive and comprehend instructions verbally and/or in writing.
- Ability to use logical reasoning for simple and complex problem-solving, and ability to travel to multiple locations to support business needs as required.
