Job Summary

Bally's Dover Casino Resort is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring that our guests have a memorable experience at our bar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking Orders and Serving Beverages: Take orders, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures for casino floor, restaurant servers, bars, and lounges.
  • Maintaining Knowledge of the Menu: Maintain thorough knowledge of the restaurant menu and be able to answer guests' questions regarding the menu, make suggestions regarding food specials, and soups of the day.
  • Providing Excellent Customer Service: Observe diner's response to any additional requests and to answer any questions guests may have. Request identification from patrons when legal age is questioned and identify when guests need to be cut off and do not over serve guests.
  • Managing the Bar: Responsible for the mixing and serving of beverages in a service station capacity to Cocktail and Food Servers in a friendly, courteous, prompt, and efficient manner. Collects money for drinks served and processes payment according to established procedures. Provides guest with a receipt after processing order.
  • Inventory Management: Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies. Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive displays. Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Always portrays a positive and cooperative attitude. Keeps service area stocked with supplies and keeps the work area orderly and clean. Maintains knowledge of the most popular mixed drinks (memorizes recipes) including the proper drink garnishes and can mix them quickly and accurately.
  • Verifying Stock and Preparing Requisitions: Verifies bar stock and prepares storeroom requisition to replenish inventory.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Education
  • Education: High school diploma, GED.
  • Experience: Prior bartender experience required, preferably in front bars.
  • ABC Card: Must obtain ABC card prior to beginning employment.
  • Communication Skills: Must possess good communication skills.
  • Availability: Must be able to report to work on time as scheduled. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights as needed.
  • Background Check: Must be able to successfully pass a background check and receive a lottery license from the DE Lottery.
  • Professional Appearance: Must present an overall professional appearance and report to work in appropriate attire.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
