School Nurse Position Overview

TemPositions Health Care is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional student care in our educational institutions. As a School Nurse, you will work collaboratively with students, teachers, and staff to ensure the well-being of our scholars.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Care Plans: Collaborate with healthcare providers to create personalized care plans for students with ongoing medical conditions.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Work closely with teachers and school staff to address student needs, develop health education programs, and promote healthy habits among students and staff.
  • Emergency Response and Treatment: Administer medication as prescribed by doctors, provide emergency care when needed, and maintain accurate records of student immunizations.
  • Health Education and Screening: Conduct hearing, vision, and other health screenings; educate students and staff on health procedures, and promote disease prevention strategies.
Requirements:
  • State of Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Previous School Nursing or Substitute Nursing Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Knowledge of School Laws and Policies
  • BLS/CPR and First Aid Certifications
  • Knowledge of State Health Regulations
