Job Description

Pet Evolution is seeking a skilled and compassionate Pet Grooming Specialist to join our team. As a Mobile Nail Technician, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of pets and provide top-notch grooming services.

Responsibilities:

As a Pet Grooming Specialist, you will be responsible for providing nail trims, ear cleanings, tooth brushing, and gland expressions to our furry friends. You will also be required to maintain a clean and safe work environment, work independently, and manage your time effectively.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of two years of experience in grooming, bathing, or veterinarian technician services. You must also be willing and able to consistently follow company policies and procedures, reliably carry out assigned duties, and behave in a positive, upbeat, and helpful manner.

Skill Requirements:

We are looking for individuals who possess the following skills:

  • Kindness: You must be able to understand and respond to the needs of our furry clients with kindness and compassion.
  • Customer-Service: You must be able to provide exceptional customer service, be patient with customers and their pets, and pay close attention to animal body language and reaction.
  • Detail Oriented: You must be able to pay close attention to specific instructions given by the customer and monitor specific pet behavior to deter harm to self or animal.
  • Driving Requirements: You must have a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to work independently: You must be able to work independently and manage your time effectively.
  • Ambassador For Safety: You must be able to understand basic animal behavior and body language to be able to determine whether or not it is safe to conduct requested services.

Training: We offer a comprehensive 24-30 hour in-store training program with a manager that must be successfully completed.

Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range of $18.00-$22.00 per hour, plus 100% of tips. We also offer generous employee discounts, flexible hours, and a fun work environment.

Time Commitment: This is a full- or part-time position with hours varying accordingly. Overtime is required as needed, and management reserves the right to change schedules according to business needs.

Physical Requirements: This position involves a lot of physical activity, including standing for long periods of time, lifting and holding dogs/cats safely, bending, leaning, and crouching. You must be able to lift and carry +/- 60 pounds on a regular basis.
