Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team at the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. As a Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting and conducting audits to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct audits of organizations with contractual agreements to determine compliance with agreements, including revenue agreements, management agreements, and service contracts.
  • Assist with audits of organizational units to determine if units are performing planning, accounting, custodial, or control activities in compliance with management instructions and policies.
  • Monitor revenue agreements across the organization and carry out continuous auditing procedures under the supervision of a Senior Auditor or Audit Management.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field and two years of similar financial experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field and related coursework, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Knowledge of The Institute of Internal Auditor's International Professional Practices Framework preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills, including IF statements, VLOOKUP function, and Pivot Tables.
  • Knowledge of data analytic software, such as ACL, desired.
  • Knowledge of statistical sampling methodologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial, cost, and management accounting theory and practice.
  • Knowledge and application of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Understanding of contracting principles and administration.
  • Knowledge of management and organization theory.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets and develop key findings.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills demonstrating tact and professional etiquette.
  • Experience in creating flowcharts is preferred.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive.
  • Able and available for travel (local engagements).
  • Valid Florida driver's license.
