Job Summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Manager to lead the development of large, complex proposals for the SS&I Division. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide proposal training and collaboration to cross-functional teams throughout the proposal development process
  • Manage, coach, and mentor Proposal Analyst team members
  • Oversee complex projects or processes with general oversight
  • Communicate within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes, practices, and procedures
  • Make moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes
  • Contribute to achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on departmental results
  • Oversee the generation, quality, and timeliness of proposal submittals and status reporting internally and externally
  • Develop business strategies to employ in proposals that ensure long-term business success
  • Operate with expertise and full understanding of product offerings/capabilities across the portfolios
  • Remain current on all program activities to ensure that proposals are accurate, achievable, and consistent with the financial goals of the Division/Sector
  • Coordinate with Program leadership aligned to ECP and proposal activity to ensure buy-in and executability
  • Monitor program activities to ensure compliance with product specifications, performance requirements, schedules, and cost commitments
  • Develop broad, cooperative relationships with numerous groups and individuals across functions and teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance post-start
  • 4 years of professional experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SharePoint

  • Well-organized, resourceful, multi-tasker with attention to detail and the ability to anticipate assistance needs and take initiative
  • Flexibility in the face of changing priorities and the ability to interact positively with executives, managers, customers, and other administrators
  • Effectively handle multiple simultaneous projects
  • Willing to work some occasional extended hours as needed
