External Affairs Director

Axim Collaborative, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Senior Leadership Team as the Vice President, Partnerships and External Affairs. This role will be responsible for developing high-level strategic partnerships and overseeing the organization's marketing and communications efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Partnerships:
- Curate and manage a portfolio of strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, organizations, and industry partners.
- Source and structure new collaborative opportunities that align with Axim's mission and goals.
- Oversee the execution of projects and collaboratives, ensuring strong engagement and outcomes.
- Represent Axim Collaborative at external events, including conferences and partner convenings.
- Marketing and Communications:
- Lead the marketing and communications function, collaborating with other leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy.
- Develop and implement marketing campaigns that leverage social media and storytelling to promote Axim's mission and work.
- Manage a team of marketing and communications professionals to support the organization's marketing efforts.
- Senior Leadership Team Member:
- Participate in annual organizational goal setting and planning to align operations and budgets with the broader mission.
- Effectively prepare for and guide the organization through change and transition.
- Model the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and foster environments that facilitate diverse and inclusive spaces.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in developing partnerships in fields such as social enterprise, philanthropy, and higher education, including digital technology innovations.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with and influence external decision-makers with diverse priorities.
- Experience operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment as a creative thinker and problem solver.
- Exceptional project management, prioritization, and planning skills, with demonstrated success producing high-quality deliverables on time and within budget.
- Experience in both for-profit and non-profit sectors, with projects that leverage digital technology strongly preferred.
