Assistant General Manager Job Description

Crunch Fitness is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting the Managing Partner with daily club operations, including sales success, member satisfaction, and facility cleanliness.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitness facility management and customer service. They will be able to execute objectives quickly and effectively, achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and leading a high-performing staff. The Assistant General Manager will also be responsible for maintaining a crisp, clean facility with equipment operating 100% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing staff
  • Monitor and scorecard performance of the staff to meet or exceed expected KPI standards
  • Lead by example by delivering personal and team performance targets
  • Manage team member performance standards, with ongoing development, training, and coaching
  • Impact member retention by delivering the "Wow 10-Member Experience"

Requirements:

  • 2 years of fitness facility and/or customer service-oriented management experience required
  • Experience executing objectives quickly and effectively, including achieving KPIs required
  • Experience leading and/or supervising employees preferred
  • CPR/AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of hire)
