About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the medical director and respiratory manager, you will perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by physicians.
  • You will assess, plan, implement, and document patient care, taking into account age and population-specific needs and requirements.
  • In the absence of a supervisor, you may be assigned as Lead RCP, responsible for the section or department during your shift.
Requirements
  • One year of hospital experience is preferred.
  • You must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board of Respiratory Care is required.
  • You must hold a current Nevada State Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
  • A current BLS (AHA) certification is required.
  • ACLS (AHA) certification is required within 90 days of hire for Adult area only.
  • You must be a Blood Gas Technologist Licensed by the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent customer service skills, and computer literacy are essential.
  • You must have a high level of analytical ability to prepare care plans, implement effective treatment regimens, and develop solutions to complex issues concerning patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction.
  • You must be able to work in an area characterized by a high need for critical thinking, constant attention to detail, and frequent interruptions.
