Job Summary:
The Boys & Girls Club Crescent Region is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Program Director to lead our after-school education programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising activities and programs that promote the education core area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the education program to help youth prepare for the future and provide opportunities for educational enhancement.
- Implement curriculum and provide guidance and role modeling to members.
- Design colorful and informative displays and bulletin boards promoting program areas.
- Assist in the execution of national projects and exhibits.
- Mentor and inspire youth, adults, and volunteers in the creative process.
- Keep records of participants, schedules, attendance, and program results.
- Mandatory First Aid / CPR.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- College Degree in Youth Development or related field and 3-4 years of program delivery experience.
- High School Diploma/GED/College Degree or working towards a college degree from an accredited college/university and 1-2 years of program delivery experience.
- Ability to deal effectively with staff and youth.
- Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of youth development.
- BI-LINGUAL IN ENGLISH/SPANISH IS A PLUS.
- Understand the Clubs' philosophy, vision, and goals.
- Ability to establish and cultivate positive relationships with youth.
Working Conditions:
After school/recreational settings that include being in/outdoors. Occasional weekend work to support the organization's fundraising events, and activities.
Compensation:
Certified Teachers - hourly rate $25
Education Specialist: School Staff/Teacher Assistants - hourly rate $15
