Job Summary

The Allen County Public Library is seeking a dynamic Senior Librarian to lead our Adult and Maker Space programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative programs that foster creativity and innovation in our community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead programs that promote literacy, technology, and innovation in our community
  • Collaborate with library staff to design and deliver programs that meet the needs of diverse community members
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the field of librarianship and apply this knowledge to program development
  • Manage and maintain a budget for program expenses
  • Supervise and mentor library staff to ensure high-quality program delivery

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Library Science
  • One year of library operations experience; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience
  • State of Indiana Public Librarian Certification obtained within first year
  • Valid Drivers License
