Senior Librarian

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Librarian to join our team at the Allen County Public Library. As a Senior Librarian, you will play a key role in delivering top-quality services to the residents of Allen County.

The Senior Librarian will be responsible for providing a diverse range of professional librarian services that support youth readers, including personalized advisory, reference assistance, and the creation of engaging programs and activities. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement strategies that promote literacy and a love of reading among children and teens.

• Develop and implement programs and services that support youth readers, including book clubs, author talks, and other events.
• Provide personalized advisory and reference assistance to children and teens, including book recommendations and research assistance.
• Collaborate with other library staff to develop and implement strategies that promote literacy and a love of reading among children and teens.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in youth services and adapt our programs and services accordingly.

• Master's Degree in Library Science.
• One (1) year of library operations experience; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• State of Indiana Public Librarian Certification.
• Valid Driver's License.
