Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Women's Health team at Ascension Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the supervision of a healthcare provider.
  • Conduct vital sign measurements, record patient information, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phone calls, maintaining patient records, and filing.
  • Assist with ordering and stocking medical supplies, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Document patient encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Medical Assistant (NHA), Medical Assistant (AMCA), Medical Assistant (NCCT), Medical Assistant (AAMA), or Medical Assistant (AMT).
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant experience.
